“What's Next” was written after six months of performing a deep meditative weekly 4 hour ritual on the subject of renewal and desire. The song is the culmination of the stilling process that begins after trivial personalities are stripped away and only pure desire and interaction of energetic polarity remains. It is a song of longing for union and annihilation into the zero hour beyond the veil of the temporal theater.

Velvawhip is a solo project by singer/songwriter/producer Ruth Pierich. A practicing ritual magician and occultist currently living in the heart of Babalon, Los Angeles, California. A complete deviant and hopeless cause, she aspires to create music that makes people want to take their clothes off and writhe.
