about

In Space, There Might Be North
(Shoemaker)

Thelemite, psychologist, composer and musician David Shoemaker lives and works in Sacramento, California.  He began his musical studies as a child, focusing on guitar and piano.  At 16, he briefly studied with legendary guitarist Robert Fripp.  While he has focused in his adult life on his work as a psychotherapist, author and lecturer, music has always had a place at the table as well.  He composed the soundtrack to the feature film, "Elsa Letterseed" in 2003, and he released his first solo compilation, "Workings 2000-2010" in 2010.  He is also known for his work in the band Last Three Lives.   In addition to Fripp, his primary musical influences include David Sylvian, Brian Eno, Michael Brook, Richard Barbieri, and Philip Glass.

This track appears on the album "Workings:  2000-2010"
